Technology in the Middle Turns One
One year ago I posted my first entry to Technology in the Middle. What began as a novel experiment in providing in-house professional development has evolved into a very personal learning experience; the past 12 months have been quite a journey.

I don’t consider myself a writer by any stretch of the imagination, but the process of putting thoughts into words has helped clarify my thinking and sense of purpose. We all have ideas and opinions; how we articulate and share them is our choice. When I speak with students about the concept of writing for an audience, I now do so from a position of experience. When I hear colleagues lament the need for change, I can honestly say I’ve made an effort to collectively move us forward. No matter how small our voice, we all have the capacity to make a difference.
To all those who have taken the time to read, respond, and contribute to this space, thank you for helping shape me as an educator. I look forward to continuing the journey in the coming year.

I am ashamed that I started a blog even before you and have not made nearly the contribution to 21st Century learning for teachers that you have. Thank you so much taking the time to share the thoughts, programs, and links that you do. You have been a great resource for me and those in my district that I have pointed in your direction.
