This is true, teaching skill should go first before technology. I had great teachers in the past that I would always remember them and their teachings because of the way they taught us.

I discovered a nice site I want to share with you, the Young Entrepreneur Society from the www.YoungEntrepreneurSociety.com. A great documentary about successful entrepreneurs.

Pat,
Hallelujah! Thank you, again and as always, for inserting the voice of reason and pedagogy into the mix. In all cases, teachers and administrators need to be intentional with their actions and approaches, and to question "is this in the best interest of the students?" Of course teachers and students have more of an impact in the classroom than any tool ... but it's so easy to desire a quick fix to the educational achievement gap problem and to assume that correlations are actually causations. As I've expressed to you before, I believe that these conversations about technology and curriculum are the far more important ones and I look forward to delving more into this arena in our 1:1 conversations.

I also would claim that the wide-reaching state-sponsored support system (universal health care, child care, etc.) provides a stronger basic foundation for Finnish students as opposed to other nations with less of a safety net. But that's a separate conversation.
